For Teens Only
Better than sliced bread! [and more satisfying]

Now in its eighth year, the award-winning Imagination Celebration and participating presenters invite high school students to register for the FREE 2007-2008 “It Takes 5, Youth Ticket to the Arts” card.  Based on student rush ticketing programs found in such epicenters as New York City and Seattle, the “It Takes 5” program allows student cardholders to be admitted to select arts events, depending on availability, for only five dollars, 15 minutes prior to the event.  Sponsored by ColoradoSprings.com, Mountain Dew and The Citadel Mall, the “It Takes Five” program offers teens cost-effective world-class entertainment at venues like the Pikes Peak Center, the Fine Arts Center, and Manitou Art Theater.  In addition, local businesses, like Josh & John’s Ice Cream, the Black Sheep, and Independent Records will be offering discounts to students enrolled in the program as well.

TWO WAYS TO REGISTER

Registration for this free card can be done in two ways.  The first is during “Blitz Week in the Schools,” held September 4–7, when representatives from Imagination Celebration’s Student Think Tank Team will register students in their individual high schools.

The second way to register is during the Kick-off Bash at The Citadel Food Court on Saturday, September 8 from 9:00pm-midnight. Awesome bands like The Airport Scene and Audio Witness (formerly Times Like These) will rock out, while in between sets, poetry slam champs will throw down some righteous verse and break dancers will…well…break dance.

And that’s not all!  This year, the Kick-off Bash is being held in conjunction with The Citadel’s “Back to High School” shopping event.  This event, also exclusively for high school teens, will feature after-hours shopping at stores throughout the mall, such as American Eagle, The Buckle, Express, Old Navy and Steve and Barry’s (to name a few). Students can enter drawings to win hot prizes like free massages, free kick-boxing classes and $25 gift certificates to participating stores.  Parents are also invited to come and relax in the parent lounge with free chair massages, Broncos tickets giveaways and more.

Students must have a ticket in order to be admitted to the mall for both events.  Tickets are free and are available at The Citadel’s Guest Services center and at participating stores.

Okay, we lied.  There are actually more than two ways to register.  If a student misses the Kick-off Bash and Blitz Week they can STILL register at the Imagination Celebration office (1515 N. Academy, Suite 200) or at Celebration Place in The Citadel.
